Lanes & Planes allows you to assign an approval delegate.
Users with the roles Administrator, Manager, or Accountant can set a delegate for a self-defined period in their Personal Settings.
Example view:
During the set period, the delegate – depending on company-wide settings and travel policies – will have full control over the allowances and/or manager approvals of the person they are representing.
Once the absence period ends, the delegate is automatically removed, and access is limited again to the user’s own responsibilities.
Email notifications are sent in the following cases:
- The assigned delegate is informed about the period and the person they will represent.
- The assigned delegate is informed if the delegation is ended early.
- The assigned delegate is informed if the delegation period has been changed.
Important notes:
- A user cannot assign themselves as their own delegate.
- A person who is already acting as a delegate can be assigned as a delegate for others as well.
- Only the roles Administrator, Manager, and Accountant can set up a delegate for approval tasks.
