For hotel-only bookings, small groups of up to 16 travellers can now be booked directly in self-service – with no need to go through the manual Concierge Service.
Previously, bookings were generally capped at 5 travellers. Groups above that size had to be booked manually via the Concierge Service, since many flight and rail aggregators can't handle groups of that size in a single transaction.
For hotel-only bookings, the following now applies:
- up to 8 travellers for single rooms
- up to 16 travellers for double rooms
⚠️ Important: This applies exclusively to hotel-only bookings. For All-in-One (flight + hotel) and rental cars, the existing 5-traveller limit remains unchanged.
How it works
1. Select booking type and room type
In the search widget, select Hotel-only first. From there, the desired room type can be set (single or double room).
2. Add travellers
In the Traveller(s) field, users and guests can be searched for and added to the booking. A live counter shows how many more people can be added in total (e.g. "1 of 8 travellers" or "1 of 16 travellers").
3. Adjust room type
If a double room is selected instead of a single room, the maximum number of travellers automatically increases from 8 to 16.
4. Select a room and book
Search results only show room offers that are actually available in the requested quantity. This means only identical room types are ever booked (e.g. 8 x double room).
Booking & after-sales
A group booking results in a single overall booking, which may contain multiple order IDs. Rebooking and cancellations work exactly the same way as for any other hotel booking.

- Only identical room types are booked, since only rooms that are actually available in the requested quantity are returned

"Why can I only add 5 travellers to my hotel booking?" → Check whether the booking type is set to "Hotel-only". For All-in-One and rental cars, the 5-traveller limit still applies.
"Why does the maximum number of travellers change when I switch the room type?" → The maximum number of travellers depends on the selected room type: 8 for single rooms, 16 for double rooms.
"I want to book a group with different room types – is that possible?" → No. Only identical room types are booked, since only rooms that are actually available in the requested quantity and category are returned.
"How do rebookings or cancellations work for a group booking?" → Exactly the same as for any other hotel booking. The overall booking may contain multiple order IDs.
