The Reporting section in Lanes & Planes provides administrators with a central overview of all organizational travel activities and expenses. You can use this data as a foundation for internal budget planning, the optimization of travel policies, and as a data source for external contract negotiations with hotels.
Access and Navigation
You can find the reporting dashboard in your company account under the following tab:
Bookings & Stats → Reporting
Once there, you can use the filter bar to select your desired travel period. The data will update automatically in real-time after the filter is applied.
Your Reports at a Glance
Reports are organized into thematic dashboards, which you can access via the top navigation bar:
1. Overview (Central Dashboard)
This dashboard is designed for high-level management and budget control.
Travel Expenses: Analysis of spending per month and product category.
Expense Distribution: Breakdown of costs by cost center and invoice profile.
2. Product-Specific Dashboards (Hotel, Flight, Train, Rental)
Detailed views are available for each core booking category. These include:
Hotel: Insights into top 10 cities, most-booked hotels, and average nightly rates.
Flight & Rail: Analysis by travel class (e.g., Economy vs. Business) and service providers used.
Rental Car: Overview of preferred rental car providers and rental stations.
3. CO₂ Reporting
This dashboard visualizes your company’s carbon emissions, categorized by month and product.
Data Basis & Additional Services
This analysis is based on bookings made via our platform*. All evaluations – including reported expenses, the number of business trips, and related KPIs such as average costs or booking lead time – are consistently based on the start date of the respective trip. The reported expenses correspond to the costs recorded at the time of booking for trips that started in the given month.
Through the Accounting Overview interface, you can also download detailed information on individual trips and employee expenses via CSV export.
Upon request, we can provide additional reports tailored to your organization, such as a comprehensive carbon emissions report or a detailed Quarterly Business Review (QBR).
