In Lanes & Planes, travel policies can be defined and applied, but we do not work with pre-booking times.
Especially since Covid, it has become evident that the old rule "booking earlier is always cheaper" is completely outdated. This is because airlines, in particular, now use dynamic pricing. They enter the market with higher prices, precisely because they know that many companies have pre-booking deadlines as a guideline. Once there is excess capacity, the price is lowered again.
This sensitive dynamic cannot be covered by rigid pre-booking deadlines.
With hotels, the situation is even more pronounced. Through our interfaces, we can access room quotas that hotels exclusively make available through our channels shortly before the arrival date (sometimes just 48 hours in advance). Here too, a rigid pre-booking deadline would have the opposite effect, increasing costs instead of reducing them.
