To provide our customers with the best possible content and modern booking options, we have updated our connection to Air France and KLM to the NDC standard (New Distribution Capability). This overview explains the benefits this brings to your travel planning.
What is NDC and why does it matter?
NDC is a modern communication standard used by airlines that allows us to access the inventory of Air France and KLM directly. Unlike traditional booking channels (GDS), NDC offers a more flexible display of fares, real-time offers, and specialized services.
Your Benefits when Booking
Exclusive Content: You have access to the most competitive fares (e.g., Light Fares) and special offers that are often subject to additional surcharges or unavailable through traditional channels.
Seat Selection (Seat Maps): You can choose your preferred seat during the booking process using interactive seat maps.
Loyalty Programs: The inclusion of frequent flyer programs (e.g., Flying Blue) is fully supported, allowing you to earn miles as usual.
Partner Combinations: NDC content is also available for flights with partner airlines (such as Delta), provided they are booked in connection with an AF/KL flight.
Billing & Documentation
Documents: For your accounting, you will receive the standard R-documents (invoices) containing all relevant tax information.
Tax Note: Since Air France and KLM do not operate domestic flights within Germany, German VAT will not be listed on these documents.
After-Sales (Post-Booking)
If you need to adjust your travel plans, automated processes are available:
Cancellations: Direct cancellations (VOID within the allowed timeframe or regular cancellation) are fully integrated into the system.
External Management: You can view your booking at any time directly on the Air France or KLM websites.
