To offer our customers the best possible content and the most modern booking options, we have switched our connection to British Airways, Iberia and Singapore Airlines to the NDC standard (New Distribution Capability). This overview explains what this means for your travel planning.
What is NDC and why does it matter?
NDC is a modern airline communication standard that allows us to access British Airways, Iberia and Singapore Airlines inventory directly. Unlike traditional booking channels (GDS), NDC offers a more flexible display of fares and services.
Your booking benefits
- Exclusive content: You get access to the lowest fares (Light Fares) and special offers that are often subject to additional fees or not available at all through classic channels.
- Seat selection (seat maps): You can already select your preferred seat on the interactive seat map during the booking process.
- Miles & loyalty: Adding your frequent flyer program (e.g. Avios for British Airways and Iberia, or KrisFlyer for Singapore Airlines) is fully supported, so you can keep earning miles as usual.
- Combination with partners: NDC content is also available for flights with Oneworld alliance partner airlines, provided they are combined with a British Airways, Iberia or Singapore Airlines booking.
Billing & documents
- Documents: For your accounting, you will receive the usual R-documents (invoice receipts) containing all tax-relevant information.
- Tax note: Since British Airways, Iberia and Singapore Airlines do not operate domestic flights within Germany, no German VAT is shown on these documents.
After the booking (after-sales)
Should you need to adjust your trip, automated processes are available to you:
- Cancellations: A direct cancellation (VOID within the deadline or a regular cancel) is integrated into the system.
- External management: You can also view your booking directly on the websites of British Airways, Iberia or Singapore Airlines at any time.
