Missing suburban train connections in results

Sometimes train connections are not displayed on Lanes & Planes, even though they can be booked on the Deutsche Bahn website.

This usually affects regional connections or local transit fares.

Regional connections can only be booked through our software in combination with a long-distance connection.

Local transit fares, on the other hand, can only be booked via the Deutsche Bahn website or the respective local transit network.

Lanes & Planes only shows you fully bookable connections in the result list, with the exception of transit connections that connect to a bookable route.

For example, if you want to book a connection that includes local transportation such as buses or trams, the software will instead show you the nearest possible train station. While such connections appear on the Deutsche Bahn website, they are merely timetable information, with local transportation not included in the ticket price.

In such cases, we recommend booking the route without the local transportation and purchasing the local transportation tickets on-site. You can then submit these tickets for reimbursement as an expense.

If you have booked a fare with the City-Ticket option, please check whether the local transportation section is possibly included.
