Employees of Austrian companies can have their mileage allowance calculated automatically via Lanes & Planes.
Whether the mileage allowance is calculated according to the rules applicable to employees of German or Austrian companies is determined by the system based on the country of the billing profile specified for the travel booking or the expense report.
The following rates apply:
Rate per kilometre: EUR 0.50/km
Rate per passenger: EUR 0.15/km
Calculating the mileage allowance:
Open the trip or expense report for which you want to record a mileage allowance.
In the Expenses section, select Mileage Allowance (AT) and click Create receipt.
On the Add Receipt page, enter one or more legs: From and To as full addresses, the Odometer (Start) reading before the journey and the Odometer (End) reading after the journey, as well as Departure Date & Time and Arrival Date & Time. You can add further legs via Add leg and delete them via Remove leg. The mileage allowance is calculated automatically based on the detected number of kilometres.
In the Passenger(s) field you can enter up to 5 additional users – please do not add the driver here. The additional rate per passenger is also calculated automatically by the system.
Finally, complete the remaining details such as Paid By, Date and the cost centre, and create the mileage allowance via Submit receipt.
The calculation of the mileage allowance for employees of Austrian companies is also possible via the Lanes & Planes app.
